Audiometric testing of infants and pre-school children, as well as school children and adults is done at the Centre for the Deaf. Close co-operation with the Doctor at the Princess Margaret Hospital and with the Medical Officer in charge of the school clinics is maintained.
Staff and volunteers visit the prison regularly and provide personal items to those requiring them, but more particularly, to the foreign detainees.
The Society provides food, clothing, bedding and other personal items to illegal immigrants as well as political or economic refugees.
